When your group arrives, you'll be welcomed by your dedicated games master, who'll walk you through the rules, introduce you to your chosen world, and then lock you in. From that moment, the clock starts ticking. You'll have 60 minutes to:
Our games masters watch the whole experience and can drop hints whenever you need them, so no group ever feels truly stuck. Once your adventure's over, we'll grab the obligatory team photo (sashes and veils very much encouraged) and send you back out into the world, or straight to the bar, with a great story to tell.

Escape rooms are built for groups, but bigger stag and hen parties often need a bit of planning. Our rooms typically take 2 to 6 players each, so larger parties have a few options:
Compete head-to-head. Split the group across two or three rooms running at the same time and see who escapes fastest. Nothing fuels a hen party rivalry quite like beating the bride's sister to the door.
Run back-to-back sessions. Smaller groups can rotate through different themes, giving everyone a turn at their preferred adventure. Great for parties who want to make a half-day of it.
Mix and match teams. Pair up people who don't know each other yet. It's the perfect icebreaker before the rest of the day's plans kick in.
If you're booking for a group of 10 or more, get in touch with us directly and we'll help you plan the smoothest possible session, including timings, room allocation, and any extras you'd like to add.
Escape Reality offers a range of immersive themes designed to suit every kind of group, from horror fans and puzzle-solvers to history buffs and sci-fi obsessives. Whether your group wants a genuinely spine-tingling thriller or a lighter, laugh-fuelled mystery, there's a room to match.
Browse our full lineup of escape rooms to find the world that suits your party best, and don't be afraid to mix scary with light-hearted across different rooms if you've got a mixed crowd.
An escape room works brilliantly as the centrepiece of a stag or hen do, or as the kick-off event before dinner, drinks, or a big night out.
In Edinburgh, you're within walking distance of some of the city's best bars, restaurants, and nightlife, meaning you can build the entire day around your booking without anyone needing a taxi between activities.
In Newcastle and Central Coast, our locations are well placed for a full day or evening of celebrations, with plenty of dining and entertainment options nearby.

Booking is straightforward:
For groups of 10 or more, or if you'd like a tailored package with specific timings or extras, reach out via our contact form and one of our team will get back to you within one working day.
Each game runs for 60 minutes, plus around 15 minutes either side for the briefing and the post-game team photo. Plan for roughly 90 minutes from arrival to leaving.
We get it, it's a celebration. A drink or two beforehand is fine, but for safety reasons we can't allow visibly intoxicated guests into our rooms. You'll also have a much better chance of actually escaping with a clear head.
No problem. We'll split you across multiple rooms running at the same time. It also makes for a brilliant competitive twist, with bragging rights at stake until the wedding day itself.
Some of our rooms have horror themes, while others are pure puzzle-solving adventures with no scares at all. We'll help you pick the right one for your group, and none of our rooms feature live actors jumping out at you.
Comfortable clothes you can move around in. We'd ask you to avoid costumes that obstruct movement or visibility, but bride-to-be sashes, groom veils, and matching t-shirts are very much encouraged.
Absolutely. Our games masters take a team photo after every session, and you're welcome to share it wherever you like. (Just no photos inside the rooms themselves. We don't want to spoil it for the next group.)
Yes. Players generally need to be 12 or over, with under-16s accompanied by an adult. For stag and hen parties this rarely comes up, but worth flagging if any younger family members are joining.
