The Story

Somewhere in the Pacific Ocean, far from any shipping lane or flight path, there is an island that should not exist.

Jurassic Island was once the site of a classified research facility — a place where scientists pushed the boundaries of genetic science far beyond anything the public was ever meant to know about. The project was abandoned years ago. The facility was sealed. The island was left to nature.

Nature, it turns out, had other plans.

The predators are still there. Still hunting. Still very much alive.

Your team has been dispatched on a mission of critical importance. Deep within the abandoned facility lies something priceless — a velociraptor egg, the only one of its kind, with scientific and commercial value beyond calculation. A rival team is already en route. Whoever secures the egg first controls everything that comes next.

Your extraction helicopter departs in exactly sixty minutes. With or without you.

The island is hostile. The facility is in ruins. And you are not alone out there. You will need to breach the perimeter, navigate the research complex, locate the egg, and get out before the clock runs down — all while something with very sharp teeth decides whether you are predator or prey.

The mission is simple. The execution is anything but. Welcome to Jurassic Island. Try not to become part of the food chain.

What Makes This Room Different

Jurassic Island brings a completely different energy to the Escape Reality lineup. Where other rooms lean into darkness, tension or mystery, this one is built on pure adrenaline. The adventure is immediate, the stakes are clear from the first second, and the pacing keeps your heart rate elevated throughout.

The setting does something clever — it gives you a double threat. There is the puzzle challenge of infiltrating and navigating the facility, and there is the ever-present sense that the island itself is working against you. The extinct do not stay extinct here, and the room design makes sure you never quite forget that.

If you have ever watched a creature feature and thought you could do better than the characters on screen, here is your chance to prove it.

Difficulty

Jurassic Island is rated 3 out of 5 stars, making it one of the more accessible rooms in the building. The puzzles are engaging and inventive without being punishing, and the adventure narrative gives you clear momentum — you always know what you are working towards even when individual challenges prove tricky.

This is a brilliant room for groups at different experience levels. Complete beginners will find the structure welcoming and the theme motivating, while more experienced players will enjoy the atmosphere and the satisfying logic of the puzzles. It sits in the sweet spot between approachable and genuinely exciting.

Ideal Group

Jurassic Island works brilliantly with groups of 3 to 6 players. The mission format gives everyone a clear role and purpose — this is not a room where one person takes over while others watch. There is enough happening across the facility to keep every member of the team active and engaged from start to finish.

The adventure theme makes it an outstanding choice for families with older children, friend groups who love action and science fiction, and corporate teams looking for an energetic team building experience with real momentum. It is also a popular first choice for groups visiting Escape Reality for the first time — the theme is instantly compelling and the difficulty level means first-timers walk away feeling genuinely accomplished.

Tips Before You Go

  • Arrive at least 20 minutes before your start time — treat the briefing as your mission debrief, every detail matters
  • Think like an explorer, not just a puzzle solver — search the environment thoroughly before focusing on any single challenge
  • Split up and cover ground early, then regroup with everything you have found
  • Keep the mission objective front of mind — you are here for the egg, and that focus will help you prioritise
  • The clock is not your friend on this island — ask for hints early if you feel the group getting stuck rather than losing precious minutes
  • Stay loud and communicative — the team that talks together escapes together
